Modular Tile Panel Triton
Descriptions & details
Ghenos' studio is a small place, hidden in downtown Messina, and yet the artisans' tiles and panels decorate homes and gardens from Sicily to Paris, from Capri to New Orleans. This modular handmade tile panel features an intricate Sicilian pattern with golden tritons interlaced with blue and green floral elements. The panel is perfect for wall and floor tiling projects, e.g. inset in wooden or travertine floors. In addition, it is suitable for tabletops and, appropriately resized, for backsplashes and stovetops.

We work with Ghenos on special projects made to measure and handcrafted to your taste and requirements. Because every piece is handmade, we can have it resized, redesigned to add or remove an element, hand-painted in a different color palette. We love challenges! Hand-painted in Messina, Italy

The artist
Ghenos is a small artisan studio in Messina, whose fame has spread far and wide. Their hand painted tiles, tableware, and home decor accents decorate villas in Capri, mansions in Paris and swimming pools in New Orleans. Inspired by traditional Sicilian pottery, with a penchant for Baroque, Ghenos designs are elaborate, rich in details and colors. Their knowledge of local art and crafts is reflected in the details of their work which is unique and very special.
Located in the North-East of Sicily, a stone's throw from the continent, Messina has been a center of pottery making for millennia. In the past few centuries, most artisans have moved to neighboring towns and villages, such as Taormina and Santo Stefano di Camastra, which certainly attract more tourists than Messina. However, the beauty and quality of the ceramics we found in Messina are extraordinary, just like the incredible talents of their makers.
